“You know there isn’t anything I wouldn’t do for you.”
“I do know. I really do know.”
“Then why?”
“That’s not something I can explain, Deacon.”
“Try. Try to make me understand, Baby. It makes me crazy when you shut me out and don’t even try.”
“Chels.
“Chelsea.”
“Deacon, I can’t!”
“Are you afraid? Does it freak you out to think about us doing that? You said before–”
“I know what I said.”
“And still?”
“I guess.”
“I don’t know how much longer I can take this.”
“Are you serious? It’s that important to you?”
“It’s that important.”
“A dealbreaker, Deacon?”
“I don’t know. Maybe. I don’t know. If you won’t even talk about it… If you won’t even entertain it…”
“I didn’t say that. I didn’t say I wouldn’t entertain it.”
“But you won’t talk about it.”
“I want to. I want to but I can’t.”
“What if we talked to someone?”
“What, like a shrink?”
“A therapist. There are therapists who deal with this all the time. We can’t be the first.”
“If I can’t talk about it with you, what makes you think I can talk about it with a complete stranger?”
“Because sometimes that’s easier. Will you try?”
“I guess.”
“Really, Baby, will you try?”
“Yes. I’ll try. For you, Deacon, I’ll try.”

Thank you so much! It was an experiment of sorts. I’m glad you think it works.
